About the Crafter and his inspiration.

This candle company was birth out of a hobby. During the pandemic, I wanted to use my time and decided to tap into my creative attributes. I am educated as a scientist and a minor connoisseur in the kitchen. The two combined and birthed this line of candles. The appreciation of craftsmanship and people allowed me to the space to create a product to share with the world. Although The Black Diaspora Candle is culturally inspired, it is crafted as an all-inclusive product for everyone.

All candles are culturally and artistically crafted. Each fragrance respectfully represents a tribe in Africa. The brand is an homage to the cultural connection of the past connecting to the present. I did not want this vessel to be "just another candle" but a candle with a meaning and a purpose. As the crafter, I hope that you love this candle as much as I love to create them.

By definition DI-AS-PO-RA / is a dispersion of a people, language, or culture that was formerly concentrated in one place, to scatter, to displace, to live in separate communities. Although displaced, all origins are intertwined by present day culture.
